A South Africa Tourist Visa is a visa that must be applied for and obtained before an individual visits South Africa for recreational and tourist purposes.
The South Africa Tourist Visa is a document that is initially issued for a total of three months and during those three months, the individual is allowed to legally stay in South Africa as a tourist. If the applicant requires being in South Africa longer than the initial three months, an extension must be applied for, and this can be done in advance after acceptance of the South Africa Tourist Visa, or at least 30 days before the expiration of the visa while touring South Africa. Each applicant is allowed one extension per document, and when applying for an extension, you will need to state your reasons for wanting to stay longer than the issued three months. The applicant will also need to prove that they plan to return to their home country after the expiration date of the visa by showing a valid air ticket, plus proof of financial stability and an application/admin fee.
When in possession of a South Africa Tourist Visa, the individual will not be able to work in paid employment and dependants must possess written consent from their parent or guardian when travelling to South Africa alone.
